Hello, fellow creators of Paper Iconic! Are you ready for another exciting project today?
It has been a while since we last looked at a Gundam project, so today let me introduce one that deserves a closer look: SD NK-13 Cathedral Gundam Papercraft by CreamBread.
The NK-13 Cathedral Gundam appears in Gundam Build Fighters Amazing and was designed by NAOKI, with “NK” taken from the designer’s name. It is also known as the final Gunpla built by the second Meijin Kawaguchi. The design is defined by its cathedral-inspired shoulder structures and a darker, restrained color scheme, giving it a distinctly imposing presence. This papercraft interprets that design in SD form, simplifying the proportions while keeping those key visual elements clear.
The model stands at 26 cm and is completed from 21 paper sheets. The wings and dual rifles are detachable, giving you the option to display it in a full, equipped form or a more stripped-down, agile configuration.
As usual, Starcream 120gsm remains a solid choice for Gundam papercraft. It holds structure well and adds a subtle metallic tone that works naturally with mechanical designs. The template package includes the standard PDF for printing, along with multiple PDO files to support assembly and part referencing. The original .AI file is also provided, which is especially useful if you plan to adjust layout, rescale, or use a cutting machine.
This model is provided by CreamBread, a familiar name in the Gundam papercraft community, so the overall design and structure are dependable.
