About Me

Hello everyone, I'm Paper Iconic, and like many of you, I'm captivated by the magic of paper. My journey with papercraft began back in 2011, when I was still a student. I was fascinated by how a few simple tools and a bit of paper could transform into such interesting and creative models.

At that time, I was particularly drawn to the paper toy projects of graphic artists. I loved their simplicity, their bold artistic styles, and the endless possibilities for customization. The image of children, completely absorbed in painting and creating their own unique paper toys, really stuck with me. In a world increasingly dominated by technology, I saw papercraft as a beautiful way to connect parents and children.

About two years later, I created a Facebook fan page dedicated to sharing free paper model designs from around the world. It was a way to spread the joy and creativity of papercraft.

Now, I'm driven to do something even more meaningful. That's why I created Paper Iconic. This blog is not just about sharing great papercraft designs; it's also about preserving them. I've been saddened to see so many fantastic projects disappear suddenly, often due to a lack of resources to keep them online. It's heartbreaking to lose these creative gems.

In addition to sharing a selection of great works, Paper Iconic will also include interesting information that you may have missed elsewhere. I also hope to focus more on socially aware projects, such as those related to environmental protection and biological conservation. Please forgive me if posts aren't too frequent, as I always want to bring people really interesting and meaningful projects, and sometimes I’m busy with personal things too.

My goal is to help preserve these projects, whether by hosting them on my own domain or by creating a comprehensive library. My intention is to ensure these incredible creations are not lost to time.

I strive to preserve these projects with the utmost respect for their creators. In cases where original links become unavailable, I may replace them with my own to ensure continued access. I always credit the authors and include their social media if available. If any creator comes across this and has concerns, I sincerely hope for your understanding and would be happy to discuss it.

Thank you for reading my story. If you come across any interesting projects or simply want to share your own beautiful creations, please feel free to email me at papericonic@gmail.com.

If you enjoy what I do, please consider supporting me by buying me a coffee or purchasing a papercraft template from the store!

Happy Folding!
