The Lotus Elise is a two-seat roadster with rear-wheel drive and a mid-engine layout, conceived in early 1994 and released to the market by the British manufacturer Lotus Cars in September 1996. The car is built on an aluminum chassis and utilizes lightweight materials such as composite to reduce weight, enhance performance, and improve handling. The Lotus Elise S1 models are typically equipped with small-displacement engines, providing a powerful and agile driving experience. The design of the Elise S1 is characterized by its simplicity and elegance, with a focus on the interaction between the driver and the road. It has the capability to reach speeds of up to 240 km/h (150 mph).

The Elise was named after Elisa Artioli, the granddaughter of Romano Artioli who was chairman of Lotus and Bugatti at the time of the car's launch. Production of the Elise, along with the Exige and Evora models, concluded in 2021, and it was succeeded by the Lotus Emira.

Pacaroom (Paper Car Showroom) has created a paper model of the Lotus Elise S1 at a 1:30 scale, comprising two template sheets. The model is simple, lacking an interior, but its exterior is meticulously detailed, accentuating the lines of the vehicle. The project includes both PDF and PDO files for easy downloading and initiation of the building process. Additionally, a video documenting the assembly process has been recorded, adding an engaging dimension to the project. Despite the absence of an interior, the model shines with its careful attention to detail and emphasizes the aesthetic appeal of the Lotus Elise S1. This undoubtedly stands as a unique and prideful handcrafted creation by Pacaroom.
