Hello, fellow creators of Paper Iconic! Are you ready for another exciting project today?

This project comes from a collaboration between FoldUpToys and MachineFun, a small indie studio based in Manchester, UK. With just two experienced developers behind it, MachineFun is currently working toward their debut title, Trash City Turbo.

The game takes you into the gritty streets of Neotropolis, where you control a turbo charged street sweeper cleaning each filthy district as fast as possible. Its Cyber Chunk art style gives everything a bold, industrial, slightly chaotic identity. At the moment, the game still does not have an official release date.

This papercraft release feels like a small thank you to those who have been following and supporting the game’s development journey. As part of that, they introduced a papercraft version of the Kujisama 500, the street sweeper featured in the game.

For those already familiar with FoldUpToys' papercraft style, the simplicity here will not come as a surprise. The model includes just four parts, all arranged on a single page PDF template. It is a quick and approachable build, suitable for a short crafting session while still preserving the rugged character of the vehicle.

One drawback is the large file size, nearly 200MB. This mainly comes from poor optimization of the embedded finished images rather than necessary content. It does not affect the building process, but it can make downloading and sharing less convenient, which may slightly limit the project’s accessibility.

However, turning an in game asset into a papercraft model remains a simple yet effective way to build community and promote a game, especially for indie studios.
