Hey, creators! Ready to craft something iconic today?

I discovered the game Reverse 1999 by chance after seeing the stunning Semmelweis "The Mirror" papercraft model created by Chi-percraft. Intrigued, I decided to try the game on Steam and spent 17 hours immersed in its world before life got busy again.

Reverse 1999 exceeded my initial expectations as a gacha game. The gameplay features turn-based combat with card mechanics, allowing players to strategize easily without needing extensive knowledge of elemental interactions. The comprehensive tutorial can be revisited at any time, even during combat, making it accessible for both casual and experienced players.

A Story of Time and Mystery

The narrative of Reverse 1999 begins with a mysterious supernatural storm occurring at exactly 23:59 on December 31, 1999. This storm reverses time, and within seconds, neon lights, towering buildings, and bustling vehicles fade away, as the world shifts back to an unknown past. Players take on the role of Vertin, a Timekeeper whose mission is to preserve human knowledge before it is lost to the storm. Along the way, she encounters Arcanists—individuals with extraordinary abilities—helping them navigate the chaotic effects of time’s reversal. The game cleverly blends historical events with fantasy elements, creating a compelling experience for history enthusiasts and gamers alike.

Semmelweis "The Mirror" – A Stunning Papercraft Model

One of the standout Arcanists in Reverse 1999 is Semmelweis. Her name appears to reference Ignaz Semmelweis, the Hungarian physician who discovered the life-saving benefits of handwashing in 1847. In the game, Semmelweis was once a mixed Arcanist before being infected by Valentina, a Vampire, during an on-field mission prior to the events of Echoes in the Mountain.

The Semmelweis "The Mirror" papercraft model, commissioned by EliasAinz and crafted by Chi-percraft, is available in two sizes: 30 cm and 50 cm, requiring 9 or 18 sheets of paper, respectively. Designed for double-sided printing, the model minimizes visible white edges and enhances the final aesthetic. The papercraft closely replicates Semmelweis’ appearance in her "The Mirror" skin, with intricate textures and faithfully recreated accessories. Her elegant pose and carefully shaped curves capture her character beautifully. To ensure accessibility for more papercraft enthusiasts, the design has been simplified while retaining its visual appeal.
