Eastern is the nickname of a papercraft artist, born and raised in Hokkaido and currently residing in Aoba Ward, Yokohama. Their main profession involves hardware design and the development of network devices. The demands of their job sparked an interest in 3DCG, leading them to explore the creation of paper craft artworks.
On Eastern's website, there are dozens of free papercraft projects, mainly centered around the themes of cars, motorcycles, and fighter aircraft. The templates usually require only 3 to 4 sheets of paper and are distributed in PDF format with complete assembly instructions.
