Every time the cold wind carries the scent of pine and cinnamon, and the twinkling Christmas lights illuminate the surroundings, Santa Claus reappears in the hearts of people, especially children. He is an indispensable symbol of the Christmas season, bringing with him warmth, compassion, and happiness.

Santa Claus is not merely a character delivering gifts to children. His image symbolizes compassion and devotion. According to tradition, he originated from Saint Nicholas, who lived in the town of Myra in the 4th century and was renowned for his acts of kindness. One of the most famous stories associated with Saint Nicholas involves his act of providing a dowry for three impoverished sisters to save them from a life of destitution. According to the legend, the three sisters faced the prospect of being sold into slavery or prostitution because their father was unable to afford dowries for them. Saint Nicholas, hearing of their plight and wishing to help them anonymously, decided to provide the necessary funds for their dowries. In the dead of night, he went to their house and, finding stockings or socks hung by the fireplace to dry, he discreetly placed gold coins inside them.

To enhance the festive atmosphere for the upcoming Christmas, Paper Iconic suggests a paper model of Dancing Santa designed by Haruki Nakamura. This is an automata papercraft model that requires only 6 sheets of paper to complete. The mechanism is simple, yet highly entertaining. By turning the Christmas bell, Santa Claus will sway and dance. The template is distributed on Canon Creative Park, along with step-by-step assembly instructions illustrated with images.
