After traveling the world for many years and realizing that losing valuables can ruin the whole trip, the founders founded Pacsafe in 1998. A company producing bags with anti-theft technology for travelers and delivering smart innovations that help protect people's valuables while they're enjoying a journey around the globe or a daily commute.
Migrating around the world with their home on their backs, turtles symbolize endurance, wisdom, and a life in balance with the environment. These majestic creatures inspire Pacsafe's mission to help people explore the world in a safe and respectful manner, which has been embodied in our logo since day one. They are committed to supporting a world with healthy oceans and coastlines, where all sea turtles can move and thrive in a safe environment.
The Pacsafe Turtle Fund was established in 2014 with the aim of supporting globally endangered sea turtle conservation efforts by providing annual grants to sea turtle conservation projects. Since 2014, they have been able to support projects such as The Olive Ridley Project, Fauna & Flora International and HAkA which work to rescue turtles that have been caught in discarded fishing nets, build hatcheries for nesting mothers, patrol beaches against threats like egg poaching and promote sustainable practices among coastal communities where turtles live.
To celebrate Pacsafe Ocean Month this past June, they collaborated with Hong Kong-based Paper Artist Linus Hui to create a beautiful paper sea turtle. Linus, who is famous for the intricate art of paper folding, helped them make their paper sea turtle a reality.
