Hello, fellow creators of Paper Iconic! Are you ready for another exciting project today?

In ancient Greece, the owl was known as the sacred companion of the goddess Athena, symbolizing wisdom, reason, and justice. Across other cultures, however, owls have carried a more mysterious reputation, often seen as messengers of bad omens or symbols of death. Despite these contrasting beliefs, there’s no denying that the owl is an extraordinary creature, graceful, diverse, and deeply expressive.

Owls are also among nature’s most skilled hunters. Their flight is nearly silent, thanks to the special comb-like edges on their feathers that break up air turbulence, allowing them to glide undetected through the night. Their forward-facing eyes grant them remarkable binocular vision and depth perception, helping them track and strike their prey with pinpoint accuracy. These incredible adaptations make the owl a true marvel of the animal world.

This Little Owl papercraft model was designed by the talented Russian artist Methakura for Corvid’s Nest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. The finished model measures 250 x 205 x 188 mm and requires 6 sheets of paper. If you’d like to show your appreciation, consider donating to the center to support the protection of wild birds.
