Offered by the Japanese website Sci-Fi Papercraft, here are two pop-up paper models of the iconic DeLorean from Back to the Future III, the classic sci-fi movies trilogy.

The DeLorean time machine is an iconic vehicle from the "Back to the Future" film trilogy. In the third installment, "Back to the Future Part III," the DeLorean time machine undergoes some modifications to fit the Western setting of the film.

In "Back to the Future Part III," the DeLorean time machine is transformed into a locomotive-powered vehicle. After being struck by lightning at the end of "Back to the Future Part II," the time machine is sent back to 1885. In order to convert the DeLorean into a time-traveling locomotive, Doc Brown, the inventor, uses the technology available at the time.

The modifications include attaching a steam locomotive boiler and a set of train wheels to the DeLorean. The flux capacitor, which is the core component responsible for time travel, is also reinstalled in the modified vehicle. The DeLorean time machine-turned-locomotive is used to generate the necessary speed to travel through time, just as it did in its original car form.

Throughout the film, the modified DeLorean time machine serves as a crucial element for the characters' time-travel adventures in the Old West setting. It retains its distinctive stainless steel body and gull-wing doors, making it recognizable as the iconic vehicle from the "Back to the Future" trilogy.
